Sovereign Gt VDI question

FreeMan08

New member
I serched for a VDI chart for the Sovergein GT and found this chart. The only silver shown would be the 1/2 dime. What would the VDI numbers be for something like a silver ring, silver charm, or silver chain, etc.
regards
Ed

180 meter
180-177 1

i haven't used my sovereign in a long time but i believe in should be in the same range as the silver dimes and quarters 177-180.

Thank you for your response Chuck. I'll add that number to my chart. regards
Ed

Depending on the size of the coin/jewelry , the range is somewhere between 176-180 .....Not to worry, because you would be digging those tones and numbers anyway !!....Jim

Yeah, you're right. I was just curious as to why there wasn't any silver listed in the chart other than the 1/2 dime. Sure hope I find a lot of those numbers! :)

Search this forum for a more complete chart I made. It's also more accurate than the charts I've looked at. Use noise band 2 as that's said to match most of the charts, though I found those were lower in VDI on many targets than what I put together for my GT. For instance, most nickles range from 142 to (and probably the most common) 146 on the meter, but I have found some that read as low as 139. That's still much higher than what these charts say.
