Sovereign GT = 1782 Spanish 2 Reale

Went to a spot I frequent often and decided to go off the beaten path . As soon as i got into the iron I started to slow down even more than I allready was going. The Reale was a sweet consistent whisper and as soon as my probe got near it the conductivity numbers started to rise even more. There is nothing better than rich dark soil as a backdrop to silver. Also got large copper which could be a George, some small and medium sized buttons, a buckle, bullet, and mini ball. This is my second land hunt of 2012 and I think I got my mojo. It must be my lucky charm I have hanging from the detector hand grip. Anyway I am sure there is more to be found before the place gets overgrown. Last March I had the same scenario at this spot before the overgrowth sets in. I knew there was Spanish silver and I am glad I rescued one of them.

Nice job! You found some neat relics and a super 1782 Spanish Reale! What a day! Thanks for sharing - Jim

J,nice find, nothing like that old silver, maybe a little mojo, but probably more skills of a good hunter and hard work to get those kind of results. HH Thanks Ron

Ever thought of coming to England for a detecting holiday Critter??Coins of that age are quite easy to find although coins of that quality are a bit harder to come by......it's a beauty.

Very nice
