Sovereign finds

I want to thank Rick, Ron, Art and several others for all the great posts over the years! Sov has worked well and lets pray Minelab does right by it and improve it, not discontinue it.

I know this is the sov forum but some have posted bad things about the explorer and I would reverse that and encourage everyone to give the explorer a try, its a minelab product and is a super machine if you give it some time! my oldest coin to date! pictures do not do it justice, especially when you look at the date.

I can remember how my heart skipped a beat when I dug this, and it started slipping out of the bottom of my scoop. If youve ever found one like this and youve seen it half in and half out of your scoop, well, you know what Im talking about:crazy:

Neil, nice finds and post.I have used Explorer's and it's a great detector.IMHO the Explorer is still the benchmark metal detector for finding deep silver in worked parks. Our weather is getting better here looking forward to getting out for a good hunt.An Etrac is on my list of detectors, maybe give one a try this season. The Sovereign though is still my go to detector for most of my parks.HH Ron
