Sovereign finds a GOLD Half Sovereign coin

Last day of my holiday today - why not go out for a swing!

Bah - no need to ramble on... let me get to the best bit. I found a HALF SOVEREIGN!!! Wooohooooo!!!!

On the beach with the Sovereign GT. It was less than 10 inches deep. I may have hit it with my shovel but I don't care! How the heck was I supposed to even think that there's a gold coin in there?! Ohhhhh Mannnnnnnnnn!!!!

'Just over half a million minted. At Uncirculated condition it'd be worth at least $30,000. As it is (maybe pushing it for a Fine condition), I'd say it's worth about $400. Not for sale though

mannnnnn..... oh and I also found another florin a sixpence and a penny earlier today but who cares about that right?

congratulation on your finds I've watched your video's on you tube now i want an exterra 705 so i can hunt for beer money my self . The only is the cost i have to use my gold detector to find a nugget to pay for it and they ain't like strawberries in a strawberry patch . well i hope your finds become more interesting.
