Sov field Amp Test

For the Pirates who Have done Mods like doing there own coils, Head Phones and Just alot of experience with the Excals over the years {MR. GOLD MASTER,JD, GH, CjC, CTBruce, VBMax , SurfDigger,Andy and many others}...What are the Possibilities of this working and do you see any weak links in my going about the changes..Any feed back would be welcome...Thanks Obn

Have never done it, but it certainly merits some further investigation. In the event you do, keep us posted OBn.

You would need to waterproof the whole thing. Is it waterproof?

Waterproof connectors on the coil wire of the Excalibur's has proven to be problematic and adding another one to accomidate the amp would just double the problems with them.
I dont see it as a workable option on an Excalibur detector unless you keep it dry.

No, the Amp is not waterproof. But A few Modification

If you do not plan on taking it in the water said it did not work well in the water. The best thing may be to just get a used sovereign to work the tide line and the amp on it.
May be just about as cheap and a lot less work.
