does anyone know anything about this model minelab it a sov bought in 2001 and it has the excellerator coil and what would be a good price fair condition thanks

Lot of things depending, is this the only coil that comes with it and what size coil is it? I think if it was bought brand new in 2001 it would be a XS2 or possibly a XS2a the the 2a having a toggle switch for single tones. Does this Sovereign have a meter and which one is it the 180 or the 550? How about the rechargeable battery and charger too plus it should have a alkaline pack too. Now has there been any mods done to the control box as sometime when some do some mods they make the detector worst and may have to be sent in to Minelab to be repaired.
If this Sovereign is in good shape, has the stock coil and a good rechargeable battery ,charger and the alkaline pack and a 180 meter I would say in the $300-$325 range, if no meter or rechargeable battery and charger than I would say in the $225-$250 range. The Excellerator coil can make it worth less depending on which one is on it, but if it is a extra coil than it will bring the price up too.
I seen on one of the classified on the web of a Sovereign Elite which is the newer model before the GT for $385 with the 10 inch Tornado coil and the 180 meter for $385, so you get a idea of what they are selling for.

rick it has the 180 meter,excelerator coils 14", 8" & 5" hip mount bag,s-rod, and i think home made straight shaft said he bought from original owner in 2002 an no mod been done (how could i tell) thanks 400.00
