Sov GT threshold sustain

Hello Guys,
I bought a second hand Sov GT and I am doing some tests with it, waiting for better weather.
I noted that when it gets a target it beeps and threshold maintain a costant sustain of sound (which depends on target conductvity)...my question is...Does threshold sustain resets or not?
I mean, when I get an iron target, threshold nulls and then threshold grunts with a low sustain. It will remain in this way till I'll get another target?
Mine does not reset, maybe it needs repairs?

If the threshold nulls over iron it will return with a low sound. However,if the threshold nulls and returns with a higher tone it means you may have gone over a good target that was too deep to register with a beep.If it nulls over iron the threshold will remain at the low tone till you go over another target.Hope this helps.

There is no reset.
The tone for the last target ID will carry until a different target is detected in disc mode.
