SOV GT / HIP MOUNTING?

WHEN YOU HIP MOUNT THE SOV GT I NOTICED THE SPEAKER COULD GET DIRT IN IT OR WATER, I USE HEAD PHONES AND WAS WONDERING IF THEY MAKE A CAP OR COVER FOR THE SPEAKER FOR THIS TYPE OF USE ? THANK YOU TROY

Cover it with a piece of duct tape. Cut it to fit the round speaker exactly and it looks pretty good! I used black tape on the older ones and you can use gray for the Elite and they also make blue "easy stick" tape for masking off walls and such when you are painting that you could use on the GT. Inexpensive solution! HH,

thanks bill you think that problem would be a little less messy with nasty left over duct tape when you don't want it on there and it been cooked on . but i do appreciate the help ..

This is just an idea but Whites has a decal to cover speakers that might work here is the link

Troy I both wade with my Sov GT and use it on the rod. Either way I keep a plastic bag on it which I change from time to time. These are 1 gallon size plastic bags, something like $3 for 100 of them. This works whether on the rod or in a hipmount bag, just wrap the control box a little loose so you can work the controls and where the headphones go in, just push it through the plastic and it makes a tight seal. This keeps the control box completely dry, and important for me is it keeps the salt air off the toggles and cable connector which are places rust forms. Hope this helps.
