Well another great detecting day with the Sov. GT. I got a mans Platinum 12.5 gram wedding ring. about a foot down. and 2 small silver rings. Plus $8.55 in change. and 41 two ounce lead fishing weights. This beach use to be and fishing spot back in the 30's. May the Gold and Platinum keep coming. Gene

I have been at the waterhunting game, since the summer of '04 and not 1 PIECE of PT, consider yerself BLESSED! CONGRATS!

Thanks Mike,

as I told Gulf hunter, That makes number 21 Platinum over a period of 5 years. In the last two days I've got 1 Platinum, 2 gold and 5 silver rings from the same beach. What happened was the tide came in real high and broke down about six foot of 4 foot high beach. and theres all the goodies thats been there for some time. Yesterday I also found 41, 2 and 3 ounce fishing wieghts. Today I got 19 but no jewelry. oh well maybe tomorrow. Gene

Thanks Ron,

One thing about beach hunting in southern California, the beaches go forever and they replenish themselfs everyday and a lot during the summer. Have a good one, Gene

I am aware of a ring found at a beach in Hawaii that was confirmed to have been in the water for forty years. Luck is good equipment with lots of practice. You have earned everything you get, best to you, Mike.

Treasurechic,

I'm using the 15" coltek on my Sov. GT. On one of my posts you'll see how small that silver ring was it pick up at 8 inches. Gene
