Sov elite question

New member
I bought mine about 7 years ago, bit on the heavy side, have they come down in weight at all? thanks, have not put on a better shaft, that probably is half my problem ,thanks

no they havent come down in weight. do a search on this forum or simply scroll through and you will see how alot of guys both rear mount their sovs and also hip/chest mount them. both work well and keep the heavy feel to a minimum.

You could upgrade by using a GT straight rod assembly or after market which Plugger makes a very good setup.A S-1 probe and a 180 meter will make this old Sovereign on par with a new GT.

I did convert to 180, helpfull for sure, but a lot of info comes also from the tones, bit of extra weight also...
