9/15/12 I'll be in south myrtel beach for a week at the Corrals hotel. I'm new to beach and surf hunting and ia have a Tesoro sand shark i'v been practicing with. How is the area to hunt, low tide i gueese is better. any info will help.I clean my sand shark after a day at the beach. How often should i do a complete cleaning if i use it all week.

I always give mine a good hosing with fresh water after hunting beach or water and clean the sand out of the coil cover.. If you can find the book Gold Beneath the Waves by Jim Brouwer. He's hunted up and down the Myrtle Beach area for years and knows his stuff on beach and water hunting. If you want to up your chances of finding the bling then this book will up your chances..

Last week we had a little front from the north & it cut the sand pretty good. Today, the beach is all sanded in & flat. Hunted 3 hrs in & out of the water. 1 pull tab, 1- 2oz fishing weight.

Thank's . Sounds like you still had fun. I can't wait to go.
