Sounds of gold on the Excal II

Dig

Active member
Hey Forum peeps! I have been getting some request to hear what gold sounds like on the Excal. So I made a simple( and by simple I mean terrible) video showing a couple of different gold rings in DISC and PP one the Excal. Hope this helps all you who have asked!

Oh yeah sorry for the abrupt ending....apparently a low battery indicator stops the video rolling.

Thanks dig! great video and clear instructions.I know the tones well but nice to get confirmation that my machine is doing the right thing, can one ask what your settings are? for beach and dry sand please.

Cheers Maureen..

Disc-1,Sens6-7,volume little over 3/4 full, thresh barely audible in DISC....I raise it slightly if pinpoint hunting.

Whether using my Excalibur II or my E-Trac I am always hopeful for the Gold tones. I have found myself hunting for 3 or four hours with nothing but clad and then you get one of those distinct tones that you know is Gold. Unearthing gold or any other jewelry is like opening a Christmas present when your a young child, you get the little bit of anticipation butterfly until you see whats inside.

Good Video Dig, that is what we all are striving for.

Thanks for the great instructional video Dig.....I'm impressed!
Like you said, the ending was quite abrupt, but the the message
was loud, clear and well explained. Thanks again........

NIce could you tell me how to know where the gold is so I can get over it. I got a good idea just hunt where you are going. LOL Two gold trips for me over your way. I see more invitations in the horizon. I had rather be a good luck token than no token at all. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the video, its always nice to hear from a seasoned hunter. I will save it and listen to it on a regular basis for ear training, once again thanks to you and the others who take the time to teach us mere mortals  Gerry
