Sound problem on GTA 500

I have an older Garrett Ultra model GTA 500. The sound has now stopped working. Any idea how to fix it? Is this detector
worth repairing or should I look for a new one? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

had same problem i sent my old 1000 to garrett awhile back and had it fixed and they checked everything else out and recalibrated it.think they charged 40 bucks.cheaper than a a new detector and works great.
