sound frequency and sharks with scuba

Whayno

New member
does the sound emited from the detector operate at a frequency that attracts sharks when you are using a machine scuba diving?

Swimming with your fins would attract a shark quicker than your detector. Sharks are attracted by low frequency sounds such as
what a dying or wounded fish would make floundering around in the water. Much like your fins when your swimming.
I have over 8000 hours underwater time and have yet to be acosted by a shark. The cudas are more of a menice to me than sharks.
Cudas are curious fish and when they see a glint of reflection from your regulator yoke they will investigate. They are very
unpredictable and very fast. Calm down enjoy the dive but be aware of your surroundings. Dig it all and dont descriminate if your wreck hunting.
