I just purchased a chatter box...F75. Questions:

* Is there anyone near Charlottesville, Va. that can spend a little time helping me with this talkative machine?

* Also...I am willing to sell the F75 with a 6" coil. Less than a week old.

* What is the best unit/brand detector that is sensitive, but does not drive one crazy with chatter?

Your suggestions will appreciated.

Be patient with the F75. I have an F70 and that s the one piece of advice I can give.
- Start it up win the preset mode and leave the controls alone, until you have them down pat.
- Practice with it at home and study the many videos on YouTube.
- At first, the only thing you should consider is reducing the sensitivity a bit.

There is a reason why that detecor has taken the detecting world by storm, and why the users who learn it do so well. But it is also a taskmaster and makes demands of you. I made the mistake of getting happy and adjusting the fool out of the controls in the beginning. Please dont make the same mistake.

If later you are intent on selling, let me know.

The F75 is noisy by design especially in inner city environment.

Look no further than the operator.
What should that tell you?
It should tell you that you either have a bad machine or you must be doing something wrong.

I gave you some suggestions answering your first SOS cry post, why did you deleted it ?

You can use Ferrari on the first gear only and still beat most of the cars in the city traffic.

Mike is right, its really adjustable. If you run the sens to high or in a certain area it will be noisy. I used mine today in a field by a road with powerlines, put the disc on 10 and sens on 80 and it was smooth and quiet and found some deep ones:cheers:

Now I mostly hunt it on the beach and there I crank up the sens and run in all metal and yes its noisy but it sure delivers:thumbup:

give it some time and try different settings and locations and hopefully your patience will win out and it will click with you. your gonna loose alot of money selling it, been there and done that:nono:

....a "car" this expensive that you can't use in the city unless you leave it in first gear... I'd trade it it in on the Lamborghini
