I know this weekend you wanted us F70 users to go out and find some gold so I switched to park mode and I tried...I really did, but I came up short.
Not for lack of trying, I assure you.
I should have just hit a few basketball courts, but I wanted to play fair and do it in a park like the F5 guys.
Today I picked a spot I have hit over and over with the F2 and the Compadre, it was right near a lake, decent size area and even had a picnic pavilion.
There was gold here at one time for sure, a vintage rolled gold pocket watch, but I already found that one with the F2.
I figured I would go a little deeper with the F70 and hopefully find something I missed, and a new drop since I was here last would have been welcomed too.
The F70 and the sniper was hitting on all cylinders, found a head stamp that dates from 1938 back to 1905, a wheatie and even an original style mood ring, probably from the 70's.
Notice the quarters, most of them were in the 6-8" range...never knew they were here before but the F70 found them easily.
I won't show you the solid signal foil, can slaw and tabs I dug but there was a good amount, this park is 60 years old.
I hope you can forgive me, I let the F70 crew down so bad, the one bright hope was I found probably the nicest silver earring I ever dug.
Just like in the Olympics number 1 is gold, but number 2 is silver and that isn't so bad...is it?
Ok, first place gets the gold and he is the winner, everyone else is the loser...I get it.
7 lashes with a wet noodle for me.
I will try to do better next time.
