Sore shoulders, arms, etc. This could help.

Been doing a lot of hunting, and not as young as I once was. Well I got to where I couldn't lay on my shoulders for very long. Man, didn't like it. So somewhere I seen this ad for compression tee & long sleeve shirts. Read up on them on line, found some at a sports store. Bought two (pricey) but cheaper than meds. Slept in one, hunted in the other today. I don't know what happened, but my shoulders fill better than they have for a long. You got to size them a little tight. Any of you guys ever use them?
Oh, I hunted a waist mounted Infinium today for 2 and a half hrs, and I feel good.

Did you find anything worth posting, Dancer? Glad the shirts helped with the pain. I went to the lake for a few hours Saturday and thought I was going to get completely skunked, but managed 7 pennies. Tin foil, 22 casings and other junk. Soon as the water gets warm enough to go in with just my clothes and UA, I can get out farther than with the chest waders.

No.....I spoke with Garrett this morning. They don't have it listed as an accessory currently, and are checking into it.

I never seen one at Garrett, either. I do use the limbsaver from kellyco and it helps a lot. I am interested in those shirts, tho.

I googled compression shirts; they look nice but I don't see how
they can help. The slling looks more promissing. After a couple hours
I get pain in my right shoulder. Had to lay off anything that required
continued repition. Had a shot of cortizonein the shoulder
that helped but but I still have to be careful. Just getting old I guess.
Now I'm trying to get used to using the other arm.

You wont know till you try one. It fixed about 80% of my problem so I'm good to go. I'm. Not ready for the big needle yet.

You can see the differences. The Garrett and the DetectorPro harnesses are made by the same manufacturer. The Comfort-Tec just does not look like it would be as helpful as the previous two harnesses.

I personally would go for Minelab Pro-Swing 45. Pretty pricey at $130, but with your history of shoulder pain I would pay the price.
Matter of fact I have one on my birthday wish list. I have used the Garrett harness supplies with the ATX. It helped, but the should pad tended to slip off the shoulder.
I have a couple of friends that use the Pro-swing and they are loving it more than any other they have tried. I hope to try one before my birthday comes around.

I'm guessing the hGarrett Harness is right around the same price as the Detector Pro
.
I'm going to have to get one for sure. I have a bad rotator cup in my right shoulder.

I don't want anymore cortizone shots! The Pro-swing is more money than I want to spend.

For a few dollars more I can buy the TRX pinpointer.

I had my right rotator cuff repaired back in May of last year. Doc said that detecting did not hurt the area as I swing with my right arm.
7 weeks after the surgery I was swinging again and have not stopped since. I did start at a 15 minute hunt and increased the time slowly and did not push it.
PT was a must. Just do what the doc / therapist tells you to do...good luck with the cuff when and if you go for the operation.

Bet we can all agree on this. When we're in a target rich area. Our arm/ shoulders don't have much time to ache, due to all the digging. But then there's carpell tunnel to deal with. Best to be scooping .

I recieved an answer from Garrett about the sling:
"Garrett is not planning to offer the sling as an accessory now, if you just want the sling, you can order from this place
