Sontor 105 or Peltny 105 Headphones

Here they are guys .....Call them whatever name you want , but they are GREAT !!!..... You can hear SO MUCH better with these phones that it's INCREDIBLE !!.....For you guys that have a hard time finding phones that will work on your Sovereigns AND your E Tracs , these babies are the ticket !!..... For you guys that have issues with hearing , fret not ....These babies are the ticket !!!..... Be warned that these are some LOUD phones in these enclosures and they DO BLOCK a lot of external noise ..... For those with good hearing , be prepared to turn the volume down on your machine !!.... I've FINALLY found a set of phones I can be happy with ......I will be putting a set on my Excals next !!......Total cost to make these phones was under $50 and they will BLOW YOU AWAY !!!....Jim

These are a mix of Sony MDR-V150 headphone elements , and Peltor 105 headphone shells ....

The elements that are in the Excals are already waterproof .....They just need to be put in the new Peltor 105 casing ...... You can take the elements out of the Excal headphone casing , and they are STILL waterproof .....The casing is not what is waterproof as much as the actual hearing element ....is a matter of fact , I think that the casing on the Excals have holes on the bottom of them for water to drain OUT of ......Jim


BTW ....I just went outside with my new phones and they are blacktopping the road right next to my house ....Beeping trucks going in reverse, diesel rollers rolling along , diesel dump trucks, and other blacktopping equiptment is out in force !!......I can hunt in my yard with NO PROBLEMS from background noise ....I know it's there , but I can hear every little nuance of my tone just fine !!...... If you need to hear dogs sneaking up on you, or other things going on around you , THESE ARE NOT THE PHONES FOR YOU !!.....Jim

I miss understood your post. You are making these phones for your land machines. You plan to do the conversion on your excal at a later time, and will use the phones in those to transfer into the Peltors as others have on here.

I will probably do the same with my excal.
