I've been hunting a location recently that has tons of deep iron, some big some little and some huge. I've recntly decided to back of my sensitivity to around for notches, and boy has it payed off. My recent finds at this location since have been 1978 Morgan dollar that i've posted, but i've also have found a 1942 silver nickel, a no date buffalo a hand full of wheats, a 1930's skill award token and yesterdays 1901 indian my first. As much as i'd like to run my sensitivity as high as possible, I just can't at this point. I'm putting the work in as to clear the iron out and will be hunting the location for years to come i'm sure. I just wanted to throw it out there that sometime you can back off the sensitivity and still be productive. The ATP goes deep and even at a 4 notches i'm still reaching depths of 5-6 inches. The indian yesterday came in at a 69 at 5 inches down. Feel free to comment or leave any suggestions as I'm always open for any other hunting styles. Or take this thread with a grain of salt as I'm still pretty grenn on the ATP with only 2 months on it. Thanks for reading any way.

[size=large]you are joining a group of hunters that have found the same conclusion on sensitivity and have mention it from time to time.like yourself a lot of us like to run full out and find it hard to kick that habit and back off on the ses. knob. the proof has been in the pudding though. thanks for the reminder.

You have a great plan! Clear out the iron! And backing off on the sensitivity can make a good target sound better, if some deeper iron junk is masking it. Keep at it.....there should be some more surprises coming your way.
