My car came with ultra fancy wheels. It was also ordered with a full size spare which had the fancy wheel as well. Spare had never been on the ground and it had probably been a couple years since I'd had the cover off the spare. This morning I pulled the cover off the spare - lo and behold, here's a little mini-spare! In the past couple of years when I've taken the car in for service some no-good SOB has helped themselves to my spare. They were real clever about it and positioned the mini spare so that it wouldn't be noticeable with the cover on it. Bottom line - they got a wheel and tire worth about $600. I'm totally PO'd. There's at least 5 places that it could have happened and I have no idea who to blame. So, if you have a nice spare..........be sure and check it after you have service work done. Bob

P.S. On the upside, after repositioning the mini-spare, I do have a little more room in my trunk. hehehehehe

The loss of the spare is no big deal. I probably would never have used it anyway. It just really irritates me that, no matter what you got, there's somebody around these days ready to steal it. I was brought up to work for the things I wanted and to respect other people's property. I'd definitely like to give whoever took it a short "refresher course" in those principles. Bob
