How would you like too get another couple inches of depth out of that new Technetics T2 or Fisher F-75 you just bought. Myself and Mike Scott from Outdoor Outfitters stumbled onto something that will get you that extra depth.
As I said in last nights message Mike let me use his Fisher F-75 the second and third day of the North South Hunt in Virginia. When we went to pick up the machine he was telling me that something fishy was going on with all the F-75's. It seems that the coin hunters that had bought F-75's were complaining that it was getting a lot of electrical interference. Thinking about it Mike had figured out that most coin hunters have several things in common. Number one they typically hunt in urban sites. Parks, schoools and the like.

Being that those sites are normally high trash areas...they also use a high amount of discrimination. If they hear static they figure it is electrical interference as that is also normal in downtown situations.

Keeping those things in mind..Mike and I started testing the F-75. What we discovered is that as you raise the discrimination past twenty on the F-75 you pick up a lot of depth. Let me say that one more time. "On the Fisher F-75 you will increase your depth if you raise your discrimination above 20".
Now we had the reason that the coin hunters were the ones complaining about electrical interference. What was actually happening was that they were increasing the sensitivity when they raised the discrimination setting past twenty..!!!!!

Here is how to prove it to yourself. Take your Fisher F-75 outside away from all electrical interference. Especially away from any flourescent lights. Now set the detector up with the sensitivity at 95 or as high as you can get it and still be stable. Set your dicrimination at 10. Get a coin. It doesn't matter which coin it is. Now test the detector and mark the spot where you get a good repeatable signal.
Once you have done that test...now adjust the dicrimination up to 25 and recheck the coin. At this point you will want to say something like "Holy $#!+. It is unreal.!!!! I am seeing about 2 inch plus increase in depth on my detector.

No detector has ever done that before that I am aware of. The Fisher F-75 has an automatic increase in depth as you raise the dicrimination past twenty.

Once we discovered that we also tested the Technetics T-2. Try it for yourself. Since the T2 has a wider range of iron you will note the increase at 50 for the new machines and at 40 on the first T-2 machines.

Mike did contact First Texas for an explanation and their response was "No comment". We have seen it for ourselves. Now go try it with your machine and let us know if you see that same thing happening.

I was experimenting with the f-75 and noticed this too, Raising the sens did increase depth from air testing. I have not applied this out in the field but it did make a big difference from air testing and without creating poor stability.

I sent (wheresthegoodstuff) Steven my results last week on this extra depth I noticed before we went out hunting to an old Chinese ghost town, Also noticed with using less tones the F-75 will operate with a reduced or no chatter in the areas some are experiencing some low chatter noise.

I found using tone 2F (2-tones) was the best mode for reducing chatter in the areas some may be experiencing some noise from interference out of the norm areas.

Only tones 1, 1F and 2F greatly reduced the minor chatter, Try it and compare this against the upper tones.

Hi Ronnie,

You have verified what I thought was happening. I sent my first F75 back to Fisher because when I used the F75 in areas that I had hunted with my T2, I experienced false IDs and audio as I increased the discrimination to up to its maximum of 65. My T2 does not give false ID

figure out the F75. I have a Minelab and don't really have the money right now for the F75. I got a few serious bets out there, that in time, you guys are going to get it down...and then I wish you all the
greatest hunting! I got a feeling the F75 may be better than we think. Alot of good experienced people on here. Neat to watch you guys work it out. Good luck!

This claimed new 'secret'- the dude is tryin to take credit for was posted long ago from Brian @ southern treasure + that outdorr outfitters dude-

Though I have had my run-in's.....after he said all Fishers are preset for coins only, and Fishers and Garrett's were all made in China (right after the Travel Channel "Made in the USA" show aired showing them made here):punch: Well, posts like they are making now only help promotions of both the T2 & F75! THAT is a good thing that should help prove that the T2 & F75 is not hype & deserve a serious look! In other words, why would a ONE & ONLY Tesoro dealer, a "button daddy", and a bunch of their followers suddenly turn in their Tejons for F75's unless it was seriously HOT like this??:hot:
