OK I usually hunt public parks with lots of trash, beer bottle caps, and pull tabs. Probably no different then anyone else. I was talking to someone in a private message and thought of another problem I am having. I have had three dogs try to pee on my detector! I at first thought it was because I was using plastic bags to protect it. But recently I got the rain cover and guess what? While digging a dog came up and tried to pee on my detector. I think very highly of my DFX (thought I would mention because some of you might have thought thats all it was worth)! Luckily I have been completely aware of my surroundings and have fast hands!:wiggle: Has anyone else had a problem like this? Gregg

While hunting a farm with horses while looking for recently lost jewelry one of them tried to eat my coil...Nope didn't try anything else..

Even a dog knows a good detector when he sees it. He is marking his territory/property.

Can you think of anything that you might have done to make these dogs angry at you...maybe you threw a rock at them or something when they were puppies? Kelley (Texas)

And I thought carrying around that gigantic automax4 pinpointer was tough! Now I got dog problems too!

I did that one time and this Boxer Dog would dig up the holes that I had all ready covered up.I could not get him to go home.
He was a pest.HH...BJ

I like dogs, this Dog messed with me a lot, one time when I laid down on the ground to dig the hole deeper, the dog came up and laid down on my legs. Do to a knee replacement, I can not get down on my knee's to dig, so don't feed the Doggies, lol. HH..BJ
