Something that I am suprised has not been noted

up to this point is, that the coil cable on the "X" machines is unshielded Category 5 data cable. Hint-hint-hint...........

Cat 5 data cable does not need a shield which is one reasons for Cat 5. The twisting of the strands provides all the data integrity needed. We have established that the signal from the coil to the control box is digital so I am not sure what you are thinking about this. I believe MattR made mention of the analog to digital which means no need for a shield over cat5.

I thought we were up to a cleaner drive to the coil, smart coil with digital signals to the control box.
