Something I've noticed with the MXT

I've noticed when I get a signal that is originally an iron signal on a deeper target that if I take up just a little dirt it always rings good until I get it out. Then it's an iron piece like the original signal. Is that the way it is for you guys? I still only have a stock 950 coil.

I also use the DD coils with no problems.

"Thanks.... I know Nancy know the answer.......Nancy knows everything"

Do I dare try to post on here....:detecting:  Hmm, here goes. I DON'T HAVE A CLUE! I use the stock coil a lot and with any coil, I've noticed that if you have a piece of iron down there and it gives a good signal the deeper you go, it's usually that old Studebaker and the nail, etc. was just masking it. I have had good signals with a stinkin' piece of junk also. Most of all, that signal will be an iffy jumpy tone. Hope that helps......

You really started something here! And I'll be the first to admit that I don't know EVERYTHING. Close, but not EVERYTHING.:razz:  HH to all, Nancy
