Something I was wondering about a MM mounted in the headphones??

Why couldn't they make one like the Headhunter?? Seems like the controls are small enough?? Some kind of copyright stuff??

I have a Wader, excellent water machine comparable to the Tigershark.
Works ok on land too.

Ever drop a set of headphones? Ever have some tree limb snatch them off your head?

Drop a Detectorpro Wader Diver headset on the ground, guess you'll be sending it off to Detectorpro.
Go to grab the headset as it's falling off your head but grab the wires, you'll be sending it off to Detectorpro.

How many folks are super careful with thier headsets?

You just have to be more careful and mindful if using a Detectorpro. They have beefed up the wires and added a new strain relief
at the headset, to help solve the mishaps.

I suspect more manufacturers haven't gone to the headset route due to more repair issues that may come about.
And it's probably cheaper to make a plastic box vs. buying and converting headsets.

Nice thought tho, a Tesoro Headset detector.

Sven thanks for the info on the fish box for detector in trunk of car.
I am thinking about getting a Wader soon. I wonder do you have the older model of the Wader? The wire problem is why I didn't get one some time ago. I hear that the stronger heavier wire works pretty good now. Thanks Jer

Yes, I have the older Wader and had a Diver. Bought them both used and they both had to go to Detectorpro soon after I bought them. It cost me about $100.00 to have them fixed. But, that was still cheaper than buying new and I got them at a good price, so the repair bill wasn't a big deal. Just wasn't looking forward to having them repaired. The bad thing is when you buy a used Detectorpro, there is no warranty, nor will they do courtsey repair work, it will cost you.

If you can find a newer one at a reasonable price, I think you will enjoy it. If you ever had a Fisher 1280x water detector, then used a Detectorpro, you'd swear the Detectorpro was a miniaturized 1280. At the time I had both, kept the Wader sold the Fisher due to weight and performance is the same.

I used a Tigershark for 3 years and found plenty of gold, silver, coins, tiny tiny gold, etc. but, it can be a rather noisey detector amongst junk and the tone just drove me nuts, too high pitched for me. So I sold it. Have to say, it was more sensitive to small gold and silver than the Wader or Diver.

It would be wonderful to see a new water machine from Tesoro with a change of pitch, maybe in a headset. I'd buy one. Can't beat Tesoro quality. Until they do, keeping the Wader. It's blue, my wife's favorite color, she claims it's hers.....I get to use it LOL.

She doesn't know it yet, I have a Cibola here that will be hers when I get up to Canada. And a Tejon coming in a couple weeks for myself.

Thanks again for good info.
I have never had a Fisher detector. I have had 6 Garrett's, Compass, and 2 Tesoro's and XLT White's.
I use the DeLeon because simple light and very handy.
I am pretty much stuck on the beaches. I use the XLT on the beach and works good, but heavy and get tuckered out after a few hours. I am looking for a beach detector light handy. The Wader fits the bill. I use the DeLeon in tot lots and as back up. It works ok on dry sand. Thanks again...Jer
