Something I discovered about the new GTI coil..

If you bump the sensitivity up to where it is noisy ( and you can put up with it ) you will dig some very deep dimes, and a lot more of them. Playing with this coil like this my dime count has nearly tripled.

Are we talking the new 9.5 or ? coil and which GTI are your using the 15 or 2500 ? And about how deep are you finding the dimes?
Sorry Im starting to sound like my wife with all these questions. O and what can you get the sens. up to before you get too much noise to take it?
I like dimes they seem to be the best coin in america for hiding in plain sight.
Thanks

I'm talking the new PROformance coil they just came out with and I'm currentlyusing it on the 1500. Haven't hung it on my 2500 yet but I expect results would be the same.

It's hard to run high sensitivity here in a lot of spots due to the fact our soil is volcanic but I've been cranking it up to 10 or so where it gets falsey and chirpy. I usually run at 6.5 to 7. I've been getting dimes that have been in the ground forever in spots I have been over before and getting them at 7 to 9 inches, with a couple at near ten inches. You have to listen for the good signal amongst the beeps and chirps but it pays off. Also been pulling up some deeper quarters.

I noticed that on the ace machine/coils a while
back. If I really want to go deep, I crank it up
nearly full blast. It'll beep and squawk, but it
still rings up on the true targets. In doing air
tests on the 9x12 coil, I'd get nearly 2 more inches
when running at 7-8, vs 4-5 on the sensitivity.
I've gotten to where I run mine as hot as I can stand
it if I'm looking for deeper stuff. Usually makes the
deep stuff hit harder, and more reliable, even if
it's a squawkin noise...A real target will still usually
stand out from the chatter.
