well thanks for all the info from every one on the old metal i found. i have spent many hours on this ol computer trying to figure out what kind of metal it is. i will tell you how we found it. my son was working in a very old brick building i would say around 1820's or so and he was tearing out some of the old lats that held the plaster on and out fell this metal.along with an old peacock vanilla bottle id say the bottle is around the 1920's or so as i collect bottles i know a bit about them. but when people used to put things in there attics years ago and they would sometimes fall into the rafters and down into the walls and get stuck there for who knows how long.its funny how many things i have found through the years in the rafters of old houses.but i am one of these guys who is always on the hunt for tresure eather in the ground diging old bottles or metal detecting and yes them old attics and rafters. so if you have an old house check out those rafters but be very carefull cause of nails, rodents, and anything that might hurt you.you never know what you will find.have fun and happy treasure hunting god bless you all.

I love treasure where ever I can find it! :)
