It has to have a country and denomination to be a coin. Looks like it could be a private mint bullion round, maybe plated. What is on the back and the size?

Seems to be silver dollar sized...

Friend of my kids had it... He's just asking..

Nope, not a bullion round either, must be a token to some series but couldn't even begin to guess what :shrug:

No clue as to its origin, but I did a search using keywords "buck and doe". Looks like one of these was sold on ebay recently, the expired auction link is still there with pictures and a brief description of the obv/rev. :shrug:

I think it is a souvenir or company coin, I have several from the different units in the Military, they give them away as keepsakes and or souvenirs.

Here's a link to a company that makes them;

This was a painting can not think of the artist or name of the print. the two sides of the coin make up the picture as a whole. Was something like bringing home the tree, harvesting the tree or something on those lines if I find it will follow up with another post

Yes it clearly shows a Buck and a Doe on one side and a Family harvesting a tree and it seems to be a Christmas tree ... so I think it's from some sort of set depicting the time of season . Maybe the was a set of four representing each season and this coin might be the Winter of 1973 .... just another guess maybe this can help ... IMHO , Woodstock

I'm willing to bet that what you seen was a Seasonal Coin Medallion. I just did a Google Image search and even though I didn't see the one you posted I've seen enough to believe this is what it is . I'm not sure who the manufacture/mint is, maybe the Franklin Mint ??? But it's not a coin , it's a Medallion ... IMHO , Woodstock

Good investigating Rusty. :clapping:
