Someone Posted about the SEF 6x8 coil vs the Pro Coil depth...

I cannot find the post anymore, but I remember that the title said the SEF 6x8" coil air tested as deep as the Pro coil. Can anyone confirm this? That sounded too good to be true to me. If it is, I will most likely want one. How is this SEF on weight compared to the Pro coil?
Thanks - BF

The weight is about the same. On the e-trac I like the pro coil over the 6x8 in the trash. But like the 6x8 coil on the SE.

The 6 x 8 will not go as deep as the Pro 11 in the ground. Never compared them in the air. However I do like the 6x8 sef, it has become my favorite medium trash coil. You can also get away with pushing the sensitivity high with it too. Really decent coil. I pull 8 inch targets with it.

i like the 10x12 SEF so much, that i finally ordered a 6x8 SEF yesterday so i can hunt in the woods with it this winter

hopefully it'll be a worthy upgrade of my SunRay X-8, which i like very much...but i felt i wasn't getting the depth i wanted

just my 2 cents...i don't know anything about the Pro Coil

Best coil going mate. Over this side of the pond seeing so many people giving up the
bigger coils left right and center good choice HH

I have just started using the SEF 6x8 on my SE...
I am working in grass fields that are littered with old (very old) deep iron and other assorted bits of trash.
I can get the Sensativity up to 12 or 13 at the highest point. Otherwise I get a million signals in a
single square foot area. Depth for me has been good down to about 3" to maybe 5" and that
has to be on a clad quarter.

I have not noticed the seperation properties yet! Hopefully soon though.
Just my 2 cents worth...
