These were the mod's I did to the 70. Since there is no Sunray probe available and I am used to one on my Explorer I mounted the uniprobe on the shaft, it's out of the way and pinpoints better than the Sunray. The second mod is a folding bipod which adjusts to several sizes, keeps the detector out of the mud/wet grass and keeps it from falling over. It is made by BT (Ben Tippmann) paintball products and runs about 35.00 Screws right in where the old stand was with a thumbscrew.

What a nice modification............Mind if I adopt that for my X-50 ???

Indeed the detector stand on an X-terra is poor at best..Gotta find one of those bipods...best mod I have seen relative a modded stand..

Jeff and Maria If you don't mind can you send me the step by step directions on how you mount the Uniprobe to the X-Tera 70. And where I can buy the stand that you have mounted on the 70. I live in VA.

My email is Swanduck1@aol.com.
