and it wasn't me. Went detecting today and had a real iffy signal that kind of squirmed on me lol but after pinpointing the location, I dug down and found a set of keys. House key, personal locks, some maybe to a scroll top desk of some sort, also maybe a wooden lock box? In any case, someone had a bad day when they lost the keys. Found some clad , two wheat pennies (1956-D & 1942) and a bunch of bottle caps. Beautiful 80 degree day under some BIG oak trees with a nice breeze made it a perfect day for detecting.
 
I also this last week found a set of keys that look to have quit a bit of ... responsibility attached to them.. Then my son recently lost his keys and I realized the value of having a " dog tag" like tag on our keys. So this week all my kids, mom, husband & self now have a.... If found please call.... charms on all of our keys. A lady on ETSY.com makes them to say anything ..
I love the idea. Your find looks pretty old. Would be cool to know what "stories" they once opened....
 
They are old keys for sure and yes, imagine if all the old finds we recover could talk to us..... HH - Jim

Jim are you intrested in selling any of those vintage bottle caps?? Just kidding . you were close to a gold ring , maybe next time
 
LOL you are funny Gunnar. I'll mail these vintage bottle caps priority mail right to your door step for free lol Some day I will come across my first real gold ring and hopefully it has a huge diamond on it!
