....When Gospel comes to my mind,I think of AMAZING GRACE,ROCK OF AGES,HOW GREAT THOU ART,BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC.....My #1 favorite to sing and/ or play,is "THE OLD RUGGED CROSS".........God has given me an incredible insight as to playing the Gospels,and I do it for Him and His Son's glory,honor and praise....I could play them 100 times each,and NEVER GET TIRED OF PLAYING THEM,THEY NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE.....EVERY TIME I pick up a guitar,I will do one or more of the Gospels....NO MATTER HOW MUCH A BURDEN LIFE CAN BE,PLAYING THEM BRINGS PEACE,JOY,AND A REAL HOPE FOR THE FUTURE.......Folks have told me I play these songs with an incredible amount of feeling put into them,and I tell them Yes,I can actually feel His spirit in me,coming out of my guitar in a wonderful,peaceful,warm feeling....It is still such an awesome feeling,getting in touch with Him,like that,I guess you could call it a form of prayer.........Those songs brought me through a very bad 2011,and are an every day source of comfort for me....Before I got up this morning,I had this thought:On the day I pass on,standing before God and Jesus,guitar strapped on,and us playing these Solid Gold Gospels for their honor and glory,time after time,for eternity.........:clsoedeyes:
