I remember those days/years! I didn't realize they were "those" days however, at least not for some time.

Yep. I recall doing the parks in Western Michigan and coming home in the evening with as many as 100 coins and a few rings.

The 1960's machines weren't to great depth wise but back then they didn't have to be very powerful.

I recall one day resting on a park bench and I just turned my Whites CoinMaster on for the heck of it. Right where I was resting the coil I got a smooth very weak tone. I dug a new mint 1936 quarter at about 5 inches deep!

Back then the regular thing was for people to ask me if I was spear hunting frogs or vacuuming the grass!:rofl:

Yeah I had an elderly lady watch me one day very intently for about five minutes, then she walked over and asked me where she could buy a weed eater that ran that quiet. :rofl:
