1826 Octavo (one eighth of a Reale) - this is a locally hammered coin. The Philippines used coins from spain & the new world but started to "hammer" their own due to a shortage of fractional coins.

1771-1783 Octavo. Most of these coins when cleaned are in poor condition and encrusted with soil as hard as cement. Electrolysis helps but most are so thin & in poor condition that they come out of the process real smooth.
