Some Silver Surprises

Hi everyone,

I went out to help a friend locate property corner markers at the local humane society and ended up stumbling across the '53 Rosie in the process--completely unexpected given the area we were searching in.

Next, I thought I'd check out a "new-to-me" park just down the road from the humane society and got a screaming 12-48/49 that seemed to be a larger than a coin size target. Since the audio was so good, I stuck my digging probe in the ground a few inches and pried up--to my surprise, out pops the silver & turquoise bracelet.

Sometimes you just stumble across the right place at the right time. Thanks for looking and good luck on your next hunt!

man that bracelet is a beaut congrats wow that thing is sweeeeeet :clapping:. i know exactly what you mean about sometimes your just in the right place at the right time. I went this last week to a small park by my house thats not even old and i've never found anything in the past. brought my 5 year old daughter there to play, so i figured maybe ill dig some clad. got my detector out and there is just nothing there at all. on the way out was swinging my detector and got a deep zincoln hit i think it was 12-36 at bout 7". dig a plug and out pops an 1853 seated half dime. couldn't believe it, have gone back since and cant find squat lol. kinda weird how that is sometimes, you just never know. Anywho, congrats to you

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Dekeyser68 congratulations on the 1853 seated half dime. That's older than anything I've ever found--I'm sure it was a real shocker. That's another reason I really like this hobby...you just never know what you'll stumble across.

Until next time...Cladiator (OR)
