Some Silver, Some Junk.

Yesterday I went to a park in an older section of a nearby town. Had fun trying to hear what my detector was saying as the EMI from the high voltage lines that ran across one end of the park was causing a bit of noise. Found $4.30 in clad, two rings and even dug a bunch if zinclons. Found both of the rings within minutes of getting started. Was pretty sure that the one was silver and had high hopes that the second one might be gold. Got home and broke out the magnifying glass. Silver ring is marked AVON Sterling. The second ring is marked 18khge. Sure did sound sweet on my Sovereign GT to only be gold plated. I found a 1965 and a 1966 dime so i think a return visit to that park is highly warranted. On Well I had a good outing of dirt digging and got another silver. Three silver items this month after not finding any during the months of Jan and Feb.
