Sanddigger had a club hunt with the Hampton Roads Recovery Society today at Yorktown so I road along with her and hunted the other section of beach while they had there hunt.Did not find any gold or silver but we had a good day Here is a few pictures

My family and I lived in Yorktown for a couple of years back in the early 80's while doing a submarine overhaul in Newport News. I used to fish on the beach you show and also over on the Glouster Point side. There was a little pier over there that I liked going to. I was metal detecting back then but not too much as I didn't have much time. As I recall, it was okay to hunt on part of the beach but not on others. Can't really recall. Anyway, the only thing I remember digging was a Hardee Hat Pin. Thanks for sharing your finds and the pictures. Makes me want to go back. It was a happy time and we loved the area.

Looks like a great day to me. That's a lot of finds for the area. Looks like a small beach to me. Nonetheless, nice job.
