I have always enjoyed finding various religious related medallions or paraphernalia, and through the years have built up a fair sized collection. Below are most of the religious related finds from 2008.

Those are cool John.

I have some also........... And

I found four or five of those little

child angles with wings. There

are some like that in different

configurations. There are ones

with bows and arrows. Must be

cupids.

... Top left, is a devotional to Mary called The Miraculous Medal. It is said that whoever wears it and beseeches Mary as Advocate, will have their prayers answered.
Top center is the scapular Sacred Heart of Jesus, as a medallion. Often, the reverse of these has an image of Mary, Our Lady of Carmel.
Top right is what appears to be the reverse of the Miraculous Medal.

Bottom left is a cherub charm (not an Angel). These often get confused. Cherubim are part of the heavenly host; they remain in heaven, singing the praises of God. Angels, by comparison are the Messengers of God and can appear on Earth to do God's bidding.
Bottom Center is a proper Crucifix, to remind the faithful of the ultimate price Christ paid for us.
Bottom right is my favorite - the Cruciform 4 Way Medal. This is kind of an "all purpose" devotional, which combines 4 modern Roman Catholic icons:

- The Sacred Heart, (top)
- St. Christopher, Patron Saint of Travelers, (right)
- Joseph, step father of Jesus and Patron Saint of Fathers, (left)
- Marian Miraculous Medal (bottom)

Most often, the words, "I am a Catholic, please call a priest," are included on the back of the 4 Way Medallion to alert emergency workers to the wearers faith.

Nice finds, in my humble opinion. I think God is telling us something... "Get out and detect more, my children; I definitely approve!"

I never put it there, I never planned for it to be there, it "JUST WAS".....eerie
