Haven't dug anything great but have been able to get a few keepers here and there. Had a good hunt this morning with Park Pirate and came away with the 1917 mercury dime, 1902 indian head cent, 1887 and 1898 V nickels, a no date Buffalo nickel and a 1944-P war nickel. Old nickels are coming out of the ground this year at a record rate for me (and Park Pirate too as he dug a few this morning also) Already up to 28 with 1 shield, 6 V nickels, 16 Buffaloes and 5 war nickels. Today's 1902 indian head cent was number 19 for the year. Notice the nice gouge on the 1917 mercury dime. I thought I rick'ed it with my digger but it is gouged on both sides like someone tried to cut in half so not sure if I was the culprit or not. Dug a few nasty Buffalo nickels earlier this week that were in a park that isn't kind to coppers and nickels. Barely able to identify them. Was nice to dig a few silvers especially the 1916 Barber dime which came from a park that doesn't give up too many silver coins any longer.
