Hi all, been lurking in the back reading all the helpfull hints everybody has been posting. Finally had a chance to get out and hunt some previously hunted construction sites. The ground readings were between 65- 81 averaging around 75. Very impressed with how the "E" coil performed. Very stable, excellent coverage, very noticeable response on deeper targets. Balance and feel was similar to the standard 9.5" coil. Handle my mineralized ground alot better than the 9.5". Big thanks to Randy Horton aka Digger for hooking me up. Looking forward to hitting the woods this fall. Thanks everbody for all the help. HH!

Flat button, GS Eagle, suspender buckles, 1906 V nickle, Mt Pocono, Pa pin and a big Whatzit.

Lead Rail Road seals, Harmonica Reed, Brass Ring, Thimble, 1865 IH penny, brass clasp and camp lead

Can you give some of the depth readings on each coil.

Items were in the 4-7" range nothing real deep. Ground was was rock hard the kind you have to chip and peel back in layers. Everything gave nice repeatble hits. The 6x 10 was softer on some of the deeper signals but the ground was trashy with iron and mineralized (the area I hunt is around some early 1700's coal mines). Picked through that stuff nicely. Noticed the 12.5" gave stronger sounding hits on the deeper stuff (7" eagle button). Tried Relic mode at "0" disc w/Trigger forward and disc at 3 and trigger center. Gain was set at preset and at about +1. The biggest thing that impressed me was how they performed in the hot soil. These two coils are a great combo for this type of hunting.

I appreciate your kind words. I am glad to know you feel that what I told you about the coil has proven to be true. I received some pretty harsh words on here this past weekend for calling it like I see it. Nice to know that some of you folks are able to sort the trash from the treasure". HH

After hunting with the 6x10" coil for 4 months now, I could tell a difference in target response immediately with the 12.5". Its performance was just as you and Monte had described. This coil was exactly what I was looking for in hunting those wide open areas on the outer perimeters of old homesites and fields. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Thanks again Randy!

Looks like the inside part from a very old padlock, cell door lock or other type of lock that would have been opened with what we now call a skeleton key.
If you were to find a few of these from the same lock you would find one measurement slightly different on each one to make them a unique combination. Probably the bump or boss in the middle of the hole towards the spring or the big boss on the outside edge, at the bottom.
The key would have gone into or through the hole at the right end.
