Haven't posted much this summer since I haven't had much hunting time with the new business and all. Last weekend I made it back to Ohio for business/pleasure trip (i.e. metal detecting
) I hit some of the old spots I've hit in the past and got a few oldies as well as few silver. I did manage a first, an 1864 C.W. store card from Troy Ohio. "S.E. Hustler Brown's Old Corner". Being a first, I was pretty happy to find it. I stayed with the 1864 theme and got a nice Indian as well. The shield Nickel is an 1876. I also got some type of masonic pendant, it has the letters HTWSSTKS which stands for Hiram The Widow's Son Sent To King Solomon. It looks like it may be gold and it rang in in the 20s (I was digging everything). It's pretty small, I need to get it tested.
I was also able to score some silver as well, rosie, washington, merc, and a sterling ring.
Yesterday I got out for an hour on a little Sunday afternoon hunt and managed a really wore out 1898 Barber dime.
Well, that's what I've been up to, thanks for looking
