Thanks for the vids .. The racer 2 is becoming an easy favorite of mine.. The tones are easier on my ears than my f75ltd2 tones.

That was a tough signal, was it on edge? Looked to me like the Racer heard it a little bit better then the Etrac. What was the disc set to on the Racer?

Everything was factory for the three tone other than the Gain which was 90.

That's pretty good for default settings. I've found it will unmask and hit on targets better with a lower disc setting. Set at around 2 with the adjustable iron audio also at 2 and 90+ gain works really well.

How can that be with the gold chain and Etrac as I found a couple small gold rings the were at least 8" that banged in loud and clear?

Thanks for all the Vids! Awesome

Big difference between a ring and chains. Rings are as perfect a target as there is to detect due to the current flow induced on the surface. Current flow on the individual links in a chain are not additive therefore seen as a very small target.

Surprised too that the etrac didn't do better. My CTX would hit that wheat no problem at 7". It's probably that particular soil. Some detectors like certain soils and not other soils for whatever reason. Probably due to the amount or type of mineralization in that particular spot. Good videos, thanks.

As far as the Wheatie He is running to much disc
As this neuters a Etrac. Tried to tell Him that before.

Once again, If I open up the accept screen then I open the E-Trac up to more garbage. I test them they way I hunt with them. Why would I want to test it any other way? Sure I can open the screen up completely and turn the sensitivity up to 31 also, but I'd never hunt they way so what's the point? Just to try and make the live hunt look better? The E-Trac generally hits better on most deep coins this just happened to be one that the Racer 2 seemed to have a little better hit.

Like Jackpine Savage stated there is a big difference between a ring and a chain. The E-Trac is a killer on a good sized ring but chains, pendants and earrings are not where it shines. Believe me if the E-Trac was better on gold I'd only have one detector. As it is I have the E-Trac for deep coins and the Racer 2 for everything else.

That seems fair. I just run my disc. to 28 and let tones tell Me what to dig, But my ground is more mild then yours.
