Some parks are just a mystery

I'm sure everyone has at least one like this. Nice enough park, baseball/soccor field, small conn. stand. Swings etc., etc. Than the dead sea! I mean hardly even any trash. I got a couple of em. Once every couple of years I go back and see if anything changed, and no it's the same. My guess is, the snack stand isn't open much maybe. Or maybe it's just hunted hard. Maybe, but no real evidence of another hunter, to be found. I went back to a couple of these parks recently, gave them a going over, and couldn't break 3 bucks in either of em. Yesterday, found $2.72 a few fresh coins in the tot lot, all the rest 3-6 inches in the out field, nothing on top. I haven't been to this park in 7 years and didn' break $3 than either. Now here's the kicker, less than 4 miles up the road, is the park that keeps giving. Go figure ?

The reason I like this post is because it speaks volumes for LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Many times it's the detector brand or some other reason given for success.

I got a park just like that........I call it Bud Light Park. There is no concession stand.....and they have FREE concerts of Old Folk music (no offense meant John-E ) on Friday nights. I would go up religiously early on Saturday morning to FIND the drops they didn't drop. I would fall over dead if there was a fresh drop other than a Bud Light bottle top.

They don't walk too far from the front of their cars... like 5 feet.....and must try to deaden their vestibulocochlear nerve with Anheuser-Busch products..........I changed my schedule ....now I go there every Monday morning for my weekly dose of depression and rejection. Blues, Despair and Agony on me.

I got a group of regulars that come up there like clockwork on Monday mornings, that just sit in the car watching me while I razzel dazzel and entertain them with my Metal Detecting prowess........

Some of the Old Bats even try to cheer me on!

If it weren't for the ambiance :yikes: I probably would have given up on Bud Light Park

No wonder you don't find anything they have no pockets:surprised::rolleyes:

The mystery of these places turns into a challenge! like the kid with a shovel and a pile of manure, "Theres gotta be a pony in here somewhere" We all have one of those parks I bet...those are the places I leave a "Tell Penny" to let me know if somebody swept it since I was there last. The dangdest thing alright! Those girls arnt there to lose gold, they are there to find it!

I leave quarters at about 2 inches...This lets me know if it has been hunted by others...I stick 3 in a row...about 2 feet apart...If they are gone, it means I did not take em...If you want to find those you cannot find, it usually take geting up before dawn and looking for them, or going out at about midnight...That is when your unoticeables hunt...lol
