some other finds in the golden neighborhood... plus repost of Jeff Davis's wedding

Someone at Jeff Davis's wedding party dropped this penny 170 years ago. The photo is not very good... but the date is 1828.

This house is a couple blocks from the one I found the gold coin. It had a historical marker in front so I was hesitant about asking to detected it. The man answered the door, and said sure go ahead and look around.I found out later they were getting a divorce, so he didn't care.

I found some other nice things there,, but,, the penny made my day.

this half cent was in the same yard as gold coin

The Canadian 1829 half penny and french 1855 five centimes was just two house away. I know the Canadians had "volunteers" there during the war, but sure about the french coin.
