here are some older pics taken with a FujiFilm A-100 3.2mp camera. The golden retriever was 14 years old in the pic, we had to put her down when she was 16 1/2. The Lhasa Apso was a stray and was only 6 years old in this pic. These pics were taken in 2004 to 2005.

nge, where were these pictures taken? What is the bird hiding in the brush? That place is peaceful looking, Did you folks ever think about putting a small dam across the creek and making a small pond? Kelley (Texas) :)

The tree was a willow, that when it was finally removed, they counted the rings and the tree was over 300 years old. The creek or river will never be dammed up, it is in a local county park called: Lola Valley Park, and it is in My hometown of Redford. The name of the river is a branch of the Rouge River, it starts in Lake Erie and branches out many times, by many names in different cities over 200 miles, this branch is known as The Lower Rouge River. There are many small dams created by fallen tree and other junk people toss in there. The bird in the pic is a young Cooper's hawk, also known as a chicken hawk...... nge

Kelly, I erred on this one. Actually the river has been dammed, several times! The lakes that I fish in Edward N. HInes Park, are all made by damming up the Rouge River. Henry Ford did it back in '25 through '27. He did it to supply electric power to his cottage industries, by way of waterwheels and generators. I will get you some links.....nge

Nope, all we have here in Michigan are fresh water lakes. The five Great Lakes are remembered in name by spelling the word HOMES. Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior all are freshwater....nge
