in the second picture there are some items I have no clue what they are, the one brass piece almost in the center has some type of material in the center of it and the long piece has what seems to have a finger slot for pulling. Any idea what these to items are?
 
The last item you described looks to be part of a dipstick.

The circular item in the lower right-hand corner looks like part of a curtain tie-back. Google vintage curtain tie-back images and you will see similar items. Glad to see you are still at it. I am a beach hunter for the most part these days. Need to get back in the dirt one of these days...
