Some of the things you see when you don't have the right lens!...

I was out and about on the weekend and came across a woodcarver in Friendship, WI.

He has a unique approach to carving and really enjoys what he does...

This particular work is carved from a single log and overall is taller than me! The man's body is hollow and the bison actually does have his front feet down below..

RM..

I like B/W and sometimes play with my photos that way. I hadn't done that with this one but tried on your suggestion.

I seem to get horizontal lines in the photo that are quite visible.

Did you give it a go? Any ideas? Feel free to mess with my photos any way you like on this one or any other. I'm always up for good dialog or a constructive critique!

I had to try again. This time i converted the RAW file to b/w and saved it off as a jpeg and it seems much better. I didn't save the changes to the RAW so it is still unaltered.

It did seem to get rid of the lines... I changed a few more settings around with the second one.

I am colorblind so there are times I can make something look "good" to me and it looks like crap to the "normal" world.. Lol..
