some of my old ww2 relics!!!

hello guys, as you know I'm new here on the forum

my english is not so good:wacko: but i wil try my best!!!

ok now my intrested...i am search for 16 year for ww1 and ww2 relics,in holland, france, belgium,(ardennes) germany (hurtgenforrest)
and also i search for roman and celtic relics

i wil start with a canteen cup what i have found in hurtgenforrest in spring 2002

its a realy nice found... there are 12 names scratched on it JUNE,HELEN,DORIS,MEADE,ANNA,LAURA,FERN,GRACE,DOT,KATHLEEN,PAULA,HARRIET and the name of the soldier himself!! DUTCH

with a american friend of my,we have search for this man DANA.E. DUTCH, we have found him after a copple of monds ,but hie died in 1956,R.I.P

but we have find a family member of him....and i have contact herr and she has send me some photo's of his grave and 1 fromm Dana E Dutch selfs in 1918 as a child of 6.. i have sent the canteen cup back to were it belongs.. to his family]

Awesome find.It's so good that you found out the history of the cup and even better that you gave the cup back to the soldiers family.These are the sort of finds that only happen once in a while.....to find out who owned the cup and be able to give it back to his family is amazing.Well done.

Job well done and am sure his family appreciates it...Are you not afraid of unexploded mines if I may ask....as they still exist especially in Germany....
I live in the coal region of N.E. Pa. and one of the fellow lost part of a finger from a blasting cap left over from years ago when coal mines were abundant..
Inquiring minds would like to know....

To have received something which belonged to a family member, which they would never have expected to receive must have been wonderful for that family. Well done, and congratulations to you.
