Some of my old finds

Still waiting for this oppressive heat to let up before I hit the desert again here in NM. Planning a late Sept./Oct. hunt in the California deserts but, this time with the new GT. I can hardly wait. Anyway here are some pictures of some of my desert finds from about 15 years ago. Hope you enjoy. The little coin is play money and I don't know anything about it. The pliers looking thing is to tighten or loosen mason jar lids, (so I've been told) and of course the J.C. Penny thing is for the shoelaces. The pliers were a surface find while detecting.

Those are some great finds. I've found tiny play money like that but none of mine look as old as that one might be. The mason jar lid thing seems to make sense so I bet that's what it's for.

I have yet to find play money..I don't know if I should be happy or disapointed.
I have found my share of tokens....mostly bus, putt putt, and chucky cheese.

Your JC Penney thing is a button hook...from the days of high button boots...used to pull loops over buttons or pull buttons through button holes. Probably some guys on the forum old enough to remember button hooks....
