THESE ARE BUT A FEW O MY CW FINDS, I DUG THESE IN
3 DIFFERENT STATES 1 IN TEXAS, 2 IN ALA, 1 IN MISS. THE WERE DUG WITH "PERMISSION" FROM THE OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY. THOUGHT I WOULD POST THESE FINE BUCKLES FOR YA'LL TO DRULL OVER WHILE
OUT RELIC HUNTING

Nice buckles! I'm not all into the "relic" hunting but love the relic mode of the MXT. Great finds there! HH to all, Nancy

Nice, where in Texas did you find the buckle? Rob

Nancy; I consider you a expert with the MXT. When you coin hunt, what mode do you hunt in. How is your machine set up. Next time out I want to try the Relic Mode, Zero Disc, with the toggle forward to get the High- Low tone. Have you ever tried that?

Far from an expert on the MXT, just a faithful user. YES, I love it when hunting older sites and with deep targets. I would set the discrimination a bit higher though. The sensitivity up to around 8-9 possibly more. You've got it right about having the toggle switch forward. This is what I use most of the time. Give it a try and you'll love it too. HH to all, Nancy

Nance; Got out with the MXT today and tried the Relic Mode, Trigger Forward, Disc about 9 O'Clock, sens. at 8. First we went to an old turn of the century Fair Grounds. Grass was Knee high and tough to hunt. Holes everywhere(not filled). Hunted for a couple hours and came away Skunked. Hard to believe, but nothing but trash. Took my hunting buddy to an old church I have been saving and we cleaned up. Coins everywhere. So far all clad except for 2 Wheat Pennies. I know there has to be some Silver there. We WILL go back. All in all, I really like the Relic Mode with the toggle Forward. When sorting through the trash, I would almost swore there are more than just two tones when it gets real busy. I think this new method for me will prompt me to use my MXT more. Lately the M6 and IDX Pro have been first out of the shoot. Thanks for the Tips.

You had stated" I have also noticed different tones. Might not be as solid, loud, etc. But definitely different tones.

Keep it up.. you'll do great. Congrats on the wheat cents and where there's wheats, there's silver! I love the relic mode!!!

HH to all, Nancy

Do you guys turn your threshold down when you have the trigger forward? If I try to hunt with the trigger forward it sounds like somebody violently shaking a bag of marbles inside my headphones. Of course I relic hunt with mine and have the gain turned as high as I can get away with, because I'm looking for deep signals.

My MXT sounds that way in the relic forward position pretty much the same as it does in C/J.

The C&J and Relic Alternate search mode are identical in terms of mixed mode audio operation. The odd mode is Relic Primary search mode. The all-metal portion of the signal here uses a slower internally fixed S.A.T. speed. This S.A.T. speed tends to interact with EMI a bit less and therefore allows a smidgeon higher GAIN setting to be used with stability and allows a slightly slower sweep speed. Rob

Those are some fine buckles.

I have never seen more than one pattern before and you have four!

I am a drul'n

Sunny Jim

I would give my left arm for one of those buckles from the dirt. I just don't have enough arms to find FOUR of them. Wow. That's IS some collection. Great hunting. Let me know if you want to trade for a detector or something!
